Fairfax County is a county in Northern Virginia, in the United States. As of January 2007, the estimated population of the county was 1,077,000, making it by far the most populous jurisdiction in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
It is the most populous jurisdiction in the Greater Washington Area and has the second highest median household income ($105,241) of any jurisdiction in the United States, second only to neighboring Loudoun County.
